Location

Called “The Capital of Silicon Valley,” San Jose is the largest city in the Bay Area, and the third largest city in California. With over 1 million residents, it is large enough to have its own airport, the San Jose International Airport (SJC), just three miles to the west of the downtown area.

188 West St. James is located in downtown San Jose, the most exciting and bustling part of the city. There is always something to do! Downtown San Jose boasts museums, convention centers, theaters, extensive public transportation, offices, restaurants, and shopping areas. It is the place to be for young professionals who want to be working in glamorous high-rises and living in the midst of all the action.

Parks & Amenities

Right across the street from 188 West St. James is San Pedro Square, a central hotspot of downtown life, filled with local restaurants, bars, shopping, live entertainment, and more. They offer all sorts of food options including Mexican, Italian, Peruvian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Nepali, and of course some classic American food. If you’re looking to enjoy a relaxing evening outdoors, you can grab a slice of pizza and a beer and sit on their dog-friendly outdoor patio.

San Pedro Square

Close by you can visit the SAP Center, home of the San Jose Sharks. Games are always an exciting event that draws massive amounts of traffic. Living downtown you can save all the hassle of traffic and eliminate the need to drive to the games!

For some peace in nature, walk along the Guadalupe River Trail, a three-mile walk through a park with many options for entertaining the family like the Children’s Discovery Museum, or visit the Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park to walk around this oval-shaped park named after the legendary migrant labor leader and beloved local hero.

Surrounding the Plaza de Cesar Chavez you can visit cultural hotspots like art and science museums. The Tech Museum of Innovation is a popular museum with hands-on exhibits that allow visitors to design their own bicycle, ride a roller coaster, get a 3D map of your head made, or catch an educational film in their IMAX theater.

188 West St. James Community

Located at 188 West St. James are two high-rise towers that offer panoramic city- and mountain views. These new luxury condominiums are now for sale so you can start living a central-city lifestyle. Within the buildings are all the amenities you could wish for, including private in-building parking, a large outdoor pool and hot tub, an outdoor barbecue area, a 24-hour lobby concierge, a fitness center, and numerous community spaces available to use.

There are varying floor plans to meet your needs, including studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom condos. There are 20 floors in each building, and views in every cardinal direction depending on which way you want to face!

We were able to tour 8 different floor plans, including a corner penthouse unit with amazing views!!

Plan A3

Plan A3 is a studio bedroom with 1 bathroom and 620 living square feet. It may be compact, but it’s arranged in an open concept way that maximizes gives the feeling of more space. There is room for a stackable washer and dryer in the bathroom, which has a space-saving shower and tub combination. The main room has a galley-style kitchen on one side, providing incredible efficiency in saving space for the rest of the open-concept room for both a bedroom area and a living area. There are also floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural light to flood almost the entire space.

Plan A7

Plan A7 that we’re exploring today is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo with about 817 living square feet. It has just enough room for everything that you need! The bathroom with a shower and tub combination is located at the front of the unit, and has an enclosed closet space for a side-by-side washer and dryer. The bedroom does not have a closet, but shares the standard closet with the hallway closet. The open concept kitchen and living room has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the community space between the two buildings.

Plan B3

Plan B3 is a cozy 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom condo with 819 living square feet. But don’t let the size fool you – this condo is arranged with an open concept floor plan that feels spacious and still includes everything that you need. And with enormous picture-frame windows, you’ll never lack natural lighting! The foyer area has a coat closet for storage, and the hallway to the bathroom has a stackable washer and dryer closet to insulate the rest of your home from the noise. The bathroom has a shower and tub combination. The open concept living room and kitchen area has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the community space between the two buildings. The bedroom has a large picture window and a large walk-in closet.

Plan B5

Plan B5 has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a bonus den area with about 1,050 living square feet. The foyer has a modest sized coat closet. The den area to the right has its own walk-in closet in case you wanted extra storage, or convert the space into a very small bedroom or guest area. The open concept living space and kitchen has floor-to-ceiling windows and overlooks the shared community space and pool area. The primary bedroom and attached bathroom also has a huge window for natural lighting and a large walk-in closet. The primary bathroom has an attached shower/tub combination.

Plan C3

Plan C3 has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1,300-1,500 living square feet depending on the specific unit. This unit is exceptionally gorgeous, with an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows in the open-concept living room. There is ample room in the foyer for a full side-by-side washer and dryer, and next to the foyer is the first bathroom with a shower stall. The second bedroom has an attached private balcony and a large walk-in closet. The huge open great room has amazing natural lighting and views. The large kitchen island lets you look out over the city when preparing meals. The primary bedroom is incredibly spacious, and the attached bathroom has dual sinks and a shower and tub combination.

Plan C6

Plan C6 has one of the most stunning views we have seen so far! With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and approximately 1,322 living square feet of room, this corner unit condo has floor to ceiling windows and plenty of natural lighting. The foyer has a coat closet and a stackable washer and dryer closet. The first bathroom is in the hallway, and the first bedroom is next to it and contains a standard closet. The primary bedroom has an attached bathroom with a dual-sink countertop and combination shower and tub, and a spacious walk-in closet. The living area is open concept with a large kitchen island and top-of-the-line appliances.

Penthouse

This corner penthouse condo we got the chance to explore today has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and the most AMAZING view available in downtown San Jose. The living room is almost entirely made of windows, offering you unobstructed views to the north and to the east. Only top of the line appliances are used and the finest quality countertops and fixtures installed. The hallway has a closet for side-by-side washer and dryer. The primary bedroom has two closets – one walk-in and one regular – and an attached bathroom with two sinks, a full soaking bathtub, and a shower stall. The two other bedrooms do not have attached bathrooms and contain standard closets, but one of the two bedrooms has access to the large balcony! The other full bathroom is a shared bathroom with a shower stall.
